The tiny town of Chewandswallow was very much like any other tiny town except for its weather which came three times a day, at breakfast lunch and dinner.

But it never rained rain and it never snowed snow and it never blew just wind. It rained things like soup and juice. It snowed things like mashed potatoes. And sometimes the wind blew in storms of hamburgers.

Life for the townspeople was delicious until the weather took a turn for the worse. The food got larger and larger and so did the portions. Chewandswallow was plagued by damaging floods and storms of huge food. the town was a mess and the people feared for their lives.

Something had to be done, and in a hurry.

I'm so excited they are making a moview out of it and can't wait to see it. I read this book in like the 5th grade and I loved it and I haven't been able to remember the title for years. I have a 4 year old a 5 year old and a 6 month old and I know they would LOVE this book.

It is a true classic. I can't believe I still love it after all these years. I bought this book for my neice because I remembered reading it when I was little. I LOVED it when I was kid and what surprised me the most is when I recieved the book and opened it up I couldn't put it down, of corse it only took me a few minutes to read it, but I seriously considered keeping it for myself.

A wonderful book for children and no matter how old they are, they will love it. I bought the book so the student could have his own copy. Even adults will love it. This is one of the most delightful childrens' books I have read in years. While working with a student in elementary school, we read the story in a reading book and we both loved it.
